Title: What is this? For eggs??

I thought this may be an easy one for someone and it will distract me from my frustrating search on my other vases :)
I just wondered what this is? Would it be used for eggs maybe? And maker? I haven't seen anything like it before. Maybe Im just not well read enough  ;)

Hi - these were for salt/ condiments. No idea who made it though. Someone probably will  :)
