Title: emerald green bowls, footed handmade, scandinavian what?
Post by: Hel on January 06, 2012, 11:09:11 PM
hey and and happy new year, I got these gorgeous bowls in a fleamarket in Denmark in 1998, the "foot" or base is not quite the same on each one so clearly handmade?

any ideas about origin?

Many thanks!

Hiya Hel
While i do not know who made your bowls i can tell you they are unlikely to be Scandinavian - unless by Aseda.  They were the only company using this type of foot which is more often seen in glass from Italy.

thanks, yes I have seen the aseda foot and its not like those.

Italian sounds like good bet, I have always thought they are a bit old anyway, at least mid century.

Many thanks!

Hi

I feel these are Aseda - I have two the same with different coloured bowls with the Aseda label - I posted on GMB many months ago but here they are again - sorry about the quality as the light is not good - the front one has the label.

Thanks Adam
