Post by: Hel on January 11, 2012, 11:25:07 AM
Hey good people!

The shape and decoration of the glass reminds me very much of vases made by a few German companies in the 1970s.

And, also, Pukeberg made lamps of a similar slab construction using cast glass.

Hi.
yes it reminds me of those german vases to but I cant see anywhere that those companies made any lamps at all..?

And all the Pukeberg lamps I have found are square...hahah its driving me crazy!

thanks!

Walther I think - it must be part of a line. I have a bowl and a cake tray of a similar design.
Though Peill & Pützler did similar things, and they liked reflector lamps....

Thanks you both, just goes to show how limited the Internet is...nothing at all shows up.

Or maybe I dont know where to look.

But we will take German, thats a start!

But reflector lamp..?

The owner just put this type of lightbulb in, the lamp itself is all glass with nothing reflecting in it.

thanks again!

The owner has chosen a wondeful bulb to show the lamp base off to its very best. :smg:

My guts are inclining towards Peill & Putzler, simply on the grounds of the way it appeals to me.
I have a strong tendency to fall for P&P, but not Pukeberg so much, and Walther considerably less.

I may well be wrong though. :pb:
