Any thoughts please on this small vase 6 inches tall x 2 1/4 inches diameter. Seems to be quite well made. Base appears to have been cut off and the pressed with a type of seal. Some angles the seal appears to have lettering and others just looks like random marks.

John you can also get signatures, etc. by photgraphing the base from a very shallow angle so that the sky reflects off the flatter parts of the base and the writing(or your case the "stamping") appears dark. This is useful when the glass pattern behind the signature is "messy" and tends to distract the eye. Here is an example of a Kosta Boda vase showing how much more clearly this shows up the signature.
