Title: Walther Three Graces Blue Satin Candlestick
Post by: Ohio on January 27, 2012, 09:31:17 PM
Ran across this single today & only question I have is where these continually made over the years? I did see that this was a pedestal base & sometimes used as a candlestick when the bowl was lost. Thanks, Ken

Quite correct Ken,  My sister collects these and they are indeed pedestal bases for fruit platters.  I have bought some for her over the years, and look stunning when complete.

Some very nice examples to drool over here on Black-poppy site:

There is, I believe, a candlestick as well,  but in order to balance the statue artistically, the candle holding area is over to one side.
I have only ever seen one correctly described one, but I would be very happy to be pointed in the right direction if I am wrong here.
Rosie. :)
