Title: Clear Glass Art Deco Vase with Abstract Nude
Post by: Scott134 on January 28, 2012, 11:17:08 PM
Hello.  This vase is approximately 10" tall and unmarked.  Any ideas as to the manufacturer?  Thanks

I called this nude when I should have refered to it as an "abstract figure" and while I refer to it as Art Deco, I am clueless which is why I'm here.  It could easily be midcentury.  I just thought deco from the lines of the vase and the figure sort of reminds me of a harlequin for some reason. Again, any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks

Still looking.  This vase is octagonal shaped and very heavy. Almost 5 pounds. Pollished bottom.

I posted this on the ebay glass discussion board and got no definitive answer.

Sometimes it can take a bit of time to get an id - (sometimes it can be years).
Not everybody pops in every day, but have patience, we generally get there in the end.
(I didn't want to leave you talking away to yourself here.  ;D )

I agree it looks 'Deco'
Looks like a Scandinavian design, although they helpfully signed most of their stuff !
but its somewhere to start searching, Orrefors, Kosta perhaps.
