which seems to me to have THE MOST SPECTACULAR DESCRIPTION I HAVE EVER SEEN!  :24: :24: :24:

I did not know Monart was Victorian!  :pb:
Nor did I know that filigree glass can look like this!  :ha:
Nor did I appreciate that crackle finish can be called cloisonne!  :help:

 A definite rare bird indeed.

I suppose somebody might have got filligree and rigaree mixed up, but I'm afraid that the official name for the crackle finished, uncased bits is actually "Cloisonne", Ross!
However, this monstosity ain't Monart!  :thud:
It might be by the as-yet-un-named Czech maker which does sometimes get confused with Monart - normally with a "combed" decoration and mica chips. These shades of blue and yellow are consistent with this too - but where the day-glo pink came from I shudder to think....
It's not finished off in a Monart manner at all.

Caveat:
I think this might be the most telling part of the description...... >:D >:D >:D

It would make an interesting pair of ankle warmers - I can just see them in a starring role in "Fame"

(- if there were two, and if they had been knitted, of course.)

There have been several eBay listings over at least the past year for vases like this, or maybe just this one vase, offered many times?

I wonder what colour decor a person would have in their home to be able to display such a vase comfortably?

Alternatively, how severely colour-blind should the owner be?

(Though I have to confess a strong liking for clashing bright colours - these are just the wrong sorts of clashing, bright colours for me)

Perhaps some sort of boudoir would be a suitable back-drop?

errr, I like it - not necessarily the frilly bits round the edges but I like the vase
 I'd suggest no wallpaper and all white walls Kev  ;D mmm but against our 'Kinky Pink from John Oliver' walled bathroom it would look great :rah:
