Not a shape ive seen before and not marked , But looks right to me colour wise with differing shades of pink with swirls of white.
It measures 11" tall and weighs a ton has a flat polished base..
Anybody ever seen this shape??
-
It's quite like the Onion / Minaret shape, but with a flange on top.
I'd say it is an unusual shape, it's probably from the mid-later '70s - '80s.
It's quite right, it is Mdina, but it's also what my Dad would have called stink-puff.
-
stink-puff LMAO i can understand that sentiment myself, But i think a bottle of plonk in it and a few mdina goblets it might look quite nice in a summer room or something haha :smg:
Thanks chopin-listz

That's not how the gmb operates, Dan!

I wonder would somebody explain how the GMB operates please? As id of thought somene giving a donation is as good way to help it operate as any it must require a lot of time from the owners of the site to keep it running properly.. Id be more than happy to pay a sub yearly or via pay-pal now and then to help it stay the great place it is today i too love glass in every shape and form but i would never have been able to aquire several examples if id of paid what they are worth in money terms so in essence i would more than likely not of been able to enjoy this fantastic hobby to the level i do today. As i dont have bags of money to buy RRP prices...Ive aways felt that this is a great board of information and experts in the field of glass.

Dan, the board owner, Angela Bowey already did that here:
