Title: Young Constantin Perfume bottle
Post by: jakgene on February 08, 2012, 11:23:43 AM
Hi - I just received this rather lovely perfume bottle, signed to base "Young Constantin, 1985, 6.8. This is the first time I have come across them.

I bought it from New York, and have googled Young Constantin, so know it is American glass.
Does anyone know which of Young or Constantin would have made this, and what does the 6.8 mean?

I think the stopper has been broken - it fits beautifully and is ground where it fits the hole, but I think it may have been longer originally to be a dabber for the perfume. Again - can anyone confirm this?

it is a stunning turquoise colour for the "bowl" which holds the perfume. The base and stopper are clear glass.

It is 3 in. or 7.5 cm high x 4.25 in or approx 10 cm. wide at top, 1.25 in or 3.5 cm. base.

Thanks
JAK, West Oz.

   Lovely item!!

Would the 6.8 not be just the date after the Year?  Like June 8 (1985)?  Just a guess (???)  :usd:
