Title: aqua sommerso teardrop slim vase
Post by: jakgene on February 25, 2012, 02:19:26 AM
Hi - not sure if this is anything special, but it is rather pretty  - does anyone recognise maker, style or colour as anything specific?

It is a rather gorgeous aqua green colour, heavily cased bowl, lots of base wear, and currently looking stunning with an orchid in it!.

it is 25 cm or 10 inches tall, 7.5cm or 3 inches  at maximum width. I had just cleaned it when I took the photos as it was thickly coated in gunk inside the bowl when it arrived yesterday - so the internal marks in the photo are fresh - not water stains

thanks

JAK

I have a shorter version of one of them on my shelf. Same color, same shape. It has a Cenedese sticker on it. So... Cenedese, probably 1970s-early 80s..

Ooh lovely Anita!  - thanks. I do seem to be attracted to Cenedese stuff!

Agree with TX. Although there is quite a few about. They would look great in a bunch of mixed colours.

Cenedese vases have the color close to the surface so the bottom "crescent" is the only clear glass. I think this makes them prettier than most of the sommerso vases.
