Hello everyone, I have this beautiful, traingular pedestal base server. It measures 5" tall, and 11 1/2" across at the widest point. Satin glass decoration of flowers. The rim is scalloped, and cupped. The pedestal base is solid glass. Not Mikasa, I know it looks like their style, but this is better quality! Thanks for any help :-[ I cannot get the pictures to load, no matter how small I make them? Can some one help?

Sorry, I'm still having picture problems!

your pictures seem adequate now :) - although regrettably I'm unable to help - this is completely not my sort of glass - let's hope someone can help you.
However, what might assist, is knowing your whereabouts - also knowing how you sourced the piece is useful. Choosing to remain anonymous can have it's disadvantages when trying to provide attribution :)

Hello Paul,
Thank's for trying to help! I did finally figure it out!(the pictures) This piece was obtained in the Chicago are, the suburb of River Forest. The base has a lot of scuff/usage marks, I was thinking maybe French?

in fact your pictures are quite good in comparison with many other attempts at images of clear glass - which is probably the most difficult sort of glass to photograph. Wish I could help, but can only repeat that this is not something I have any knowledge of - but would just comment on one other issue concerning origins of glass. You will see people here ask for pictures of the base (the underside of the base) - and this is important for several reasons...............the most obvious perhaps being that we might determine the extent of wear (or not) and so have some idea of age - but the style/shape/form of the underside is often a very good guide to - if not the exact design/pattern - then at least an indication of possible factory.
Wish you luck with this :)

Thanks again Paul! I did have pictures of the bottom, but ran into so much trouble trying to get the photos on the board I forgot!
