I bought this fish on Ebay about a year ago. These fish have been attibutted to Filip Vogelpohl owner of Boise Art Glass by many people. I had an opportunity to correspond with Filip Vogelpohl and he said he did not produce this fish. I found a vase made with similar techniques and another example of this fish that was claimed to be made by a Romanian artist. Does anyone know who made this fish.

I've got a gorgeous multicoloured fish with metallic stuff on it. The position of the body and the construction is very, very similar to yours.
It's got a sticker on it, which reads " Handmade by STICLART PC3". I've googled them, but no images of fish appear on the site I found.
They did when I googled them before!
They are a Romanian company.

I found the maker of this fish. He is a Romanian Artist named Filip Ravert. Below is a link to his web site. If anyone has an idea of the value of this fish (not for sale) I would appreciate the information.

I want to add two more links in case some one in the future is researching this artist and wants proof that Filip Ravert is the artist. The first link shows a web page written in spanish but the paragraph starts with the English translation of Filip Ravert. The second link shows a page with a peice of his glass showing his signature. A larger view is available by clicking on the picture. Page 5 of the same site has another glass object that shows filip as the signature.

The above links do not work as planned. At the site click on Linea Ravert. This is the page that starts with the English translation of his name. Next click on showroom and then pages 3 or 5 to find examples of the signature.

I don't see signatures - or fish!
I've taken a pic of my fish - I just need to sort it for posting.
I'm afraid I can't help with any sort of valuation. Mine was a present, originally found in TKMaxx.

Hi
I assume you tried my links. I just used these links again. The first Link I gave opens Filip Ravert Glass web site. There is a scroll bar on the site above the ads which are at the bottom of the page. A fish is pictured on this page. Also if you click on Models and scroll down the page until you see figurines and click on figuines you will either see nothing, two boxes or two fish. Put your mouse under the word Figurine if you see nothing until the mouse appears as if you found a link and click or click on a box or fish. This web works best with old versions of Windows.
The other web site shows the same signature I posted in this thread. There are no fish on this web site but it verifies that Filip Ravert signed my fish. If you get to pages 3 or 5 the first item on each page has the signature toward the bottom of the item.

My wife tried to get to the fish on the web site using the link I provided and was also unsuccessful. Here is another link. Click on English and it should take you to the page. If not, you can google Filip Ravert glass and his web site is easily found.

Here's mine! I think you will agrree it's the same maker.

I think the metal work on your fish matches the lucky fish pictured on the following web site better than the fish I own. The metal comes up the body of my fish and is not on the side fins. For some reason all the links I have provided work fine on my computer but the ones for Filip Glass do not work on my wifes computer. I hope this works for you.

I'm afraid your links are not working at all well for me - I can see something through a letterbox sort of shaped "page" - but I have to scroll up and down to see the fish - and the focus isn't that great!
The metalwork seems to vary as to were it is placed. The major difference I see is that mine is coloured - using a surface texture. ;D

I have the impression that Filip uses mostly solid colors although I have another one of his fish that goes from red to green as you go up the body from the tail. Also almost all of his glass is frosted but he is making a non frosted fish this year.
His web site is difficult to navigate but if you see the tabs on the left that say about us, model and guest book then click on the model tab and scroll down until you see figurine and click on that you may have to fool around to find where to click next as I stated in a previous post. If you get in to this area there are two fish to view with better pictures.

I've had mine for about 5-6 years - maybe a bit longer.
It was back in the days when you could find top quality glass in TKMaxx - like my Beranek Tropical flowers, an Ales Valner vase, some fabulous Tarnowiec.... and this fish! ;D
