Title: Strange Bud Vase/Paperweight

This piece was on a boot fair stood up like a vase. It intrigued me. I have seen a few similar from 2 Scottish artists but not the same as this. In the paperweight part their is a large bubble with a hole in the top. It would look good with coloured water (just a thought). It is 16cm in height.

I have seen A bud vase paperweight in Mtarfa Glass dating to the 1980s in a completely different design but nothing yet that gives me a clue where this came from. There are a number of this type around where the air bubble inside can be filled with water. I cant see flowers sticking out of it to be honest.

It looks like it might be a perfumed oil burner missing the wick insert

So, they put perfumed oil in the cavity and put a wick in then set a match to it, I dont like all this Health and Safety rubbish the UK keeps going on about but that just sounds dangerous ! ; :o. I have seen a Murano one and on a scottish glass website another that is called a bud vase.(I think they saw the danger ;D) I will see what I can find about this one. I like to put as much info in a listing as I can. Those items not described/attributed seem not to sell as well. Thanks for the info. Pete
