Hi I am looking for some help with a Murano glass pheasant I have.
I really dont know much about the various Murano labels & makers, so I was hoping someone may be able to tell me a bit more about the worn label on the base.
I have taken several pics to show the colours and try and show the gold leaf in the glass and pic 4 is of the base showing the label.
Any help/ideas about the maker would be greatfully received - Thank you!

AVeM. Definite ID from the bird and the label. Your pheasant's picture is most welcome in the Murano Zoo if you would like to include it. Just email me your name and I'll make sure to credit the photo. If you'll let me know how tall it is, it would also be great.

Thanks for the very quick ID - I would be delighted if it was added to the Murano zoo.
It is 13" in height and 12" long - I will email you my details.

Thank you for letting me add it to the zoo. It is at http://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/birds-3. I put it across from the opaline pheasant so it wouldn't feel alone. :)

It looks great with the other pheasant!!
I have attached a few pictures of a Zanetti duck I have - I noticed there isnt one in the same colour in the zoo currently, I have also included a few pics of the signature to the base (it does have quite bad surface scratches to the base).
Feel free to use any of the pics if they are any good for the zoo.

What a great swan! It will be a wonderful addition to the zoo. Thank you.

Yep - I can see now it is a swan not a duck as I had mentioned earlier. :-[ ;D

Duck or swan, many times I can't tell. Sometimes the birds look like a long-necked duck or a duck-billed swan. Much of the time I just do best guess, because there is no animal alive that really looks like that. :)
It is now setting proudly in the zoo at http://sites.google.com/site/muranozoo/birds-by-zanetti.
