Hello all,
I have two tall (8.25") and stately wine glasses with intaglio cut bowls. It has been suggested to me that they are Baccarat. Could anybody confirm that, and if they are, tell me the pattern and approx production dates?
Any thoughts would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks very much!

I would not think of Baccarat for these - even if the bowls are fine work. For Baccarat you' d expect full lead crystal, and a hand worked stem and foot - and of course a stamp. Perhaps German?

Hi and thanks!
Stem and foot are handworked. Craftsmanship is on a level with Meyrs Neffe or Theresienthal circa 1900. Crystal is full lead with the "just slightly more purple than English" tint that you see in Continental glass when under a UV lamp.
Baccarat was suggested to me but that doesn't make it so.
