Title: 'English cut glass' label on silver enamel perfume set
Post by: Tigerchips on March 24, 2012, 08:46:53 PM
These belong to a charity shop that i work for. I'm wondering if anyone recognizes the label? They are solid silver with enamel. Hallmark dates to 1936. I think they are Art Deco. I'm sure i saw one on the Antique's Road Trip a few days ago, i'll have to look to see how much it made.  8)

Hello there

I don't know about the glass but the hallmark indicates that the silver was made by Albert Carter, at the Vicarage Works, 40 Frederick St, Birmingham.

Maybe it's a retailers label then? Do you think it came with a tray/box and maybe a few other pieces?
