Title: heavy clear and thick candle holder, also works upside down
Post by: Hel on March 25, 2012, 09:51:29 PM
Hi, I am thinking polish for this piece.

Any thoughts?

one way it holds 2 candles, the other way it can be a vase..I think

the label is just a label from the store here in Iceland...

thanks!

I wish I could help Hel.  I like the design.  My only thought is that in the candle-holder position, aren't the holder bits too rounded to hold candles?

Thanks for wondering with me Nancy!

The pictures don't show it, but there are ridges on the inside that hold the candles in place.

hmm..I am thinking the 80Žand polish ore somewhere in that region.

I knew I had seen it before...

It is Czech, Sklo Union, by Pavel Panek, for Hermanova Hut, 1974: >> link (http://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/PavelPanek?authkey=Gv1sRgCLfl1rnL99eWGA#5443357824917212482) to a catologue on Jindrich's site.
