I got this really cute set today and found the company online but this set wasn't listed. I am just curious what the one with the hole in the top of his head is for. It also has a small container below. The other one the top slides back and the beak opens like to pour out cream? Anyone know the use for the other piece? Thanks so much for looking!

Hello Janice, what a fun set! I think the hole is to let steam out and may well be a tea infuser, just a guess. The one with the retractable lid is classified as a syrup dispenser....the other two could be sugar pourers, but I can't see them clearly enough to be certain. They might even be salt and pepper dispensers??
They had a green and yellow part-set like this on Etsy a while ago....did you see that one?

No, I didn't see the other set. I found this at the local antique mall. The one with the hole in the top has a softer plastic then the rest of them and would probably melt. The two little ones each have one hole in their beaks. I have a friend who has penguins in the kitchen so I had to get the set for her!

She has many penguin cookie jars on top of her cabinets, I need to get a picture because they really look cute.

decoqueen - I am pretty sure that one with the little spout on the top of the head is a sugar shaker - if you fill his bowl with sugar, when you turn it upside down to dispense a "dose" of sugar, a quarter teaspoon (and only a quarter teaspoon) of sugar comes out every time. Pretty cool design and all German. (they are known for their engineering!)
