Title: Sowerby 1930's Bowl
Post by: eyepurple on April 09, 2012, 02:00:46 AM
Hello:

I am wondering if anyone could point me to a site where I could research more information on a Sowerbys Frog and Bullrush bowl, I have found detailed information on the amber, but I also have the, well, I would call it, pale green, quite pretty.  I can't seem to find it anywhere....Any information anyone could provide would be wonderful...Thank you.

These were made in a variety of colours, including amber, green, pink, blue and maybe clear and various forms. If your green one glows a very bright green under a UV light then it contains uranium as a colorant. The design was registered on 9 October 1933. I'm not quite sure what else you want to know, as the same information applies to the amber as to the other colours.
