Hi and welcome to the board. We really need a bit more info - a photo showing the base of the piece and how it's finished will help enormously, plus dimensions are needed too. Can you be a little more specific on the years? 10, 20, 50, 75, or what? One person's idea of old is another's modern, so the more info you can share with us the better chance you stand of getting good info back. Also adding your location to your profile can help in some cases, especially so if your family hasn't moved around much.

it looks possibly Bohemian, c 1920s, have a look at this link, theres some very similar items.
