Hi, could anyone please help me out with this? Thanks very much in advance
-
I would say no to Whitefriars .
-
Thanks alot for replying. Would you say this was most likely to be Empoli?
-
Its easier to say what you know it isnt than to say what it is , there are others on the forum who probably will know . SORRY .

Not a problem, I appreciate your time. Thankyou

I have absolutely no idea what a Whitefriars Woodchester piece looks like in real life but the link above gives a couple of quite clear vases so you can see the differences and compare.
There are some good sites showing lots of Empoli glassware especially VM Glasshouse where they have many pieces to compare as well.
My only observation on your piece is that the green seems a bit different to the Empoli green I think of.
Can you do a close clear shot of the rim and the base of the piece please if you have time?
thanks

Hi, thanks for replying. I hope these are clear enough.
Thanks

Nice colour! it looks completely different to your first post.
The rim look undulating, and I think there have been Empoli vases on here with that type of rim finish.
I don't know about the colour though.

Thanks for your help, I will try and get a better pic on the colour when I have more time, maybe tomorrow or later tonight.
Thanks again, very much appreciated

I found the design in my Norleans 1970 catalog. So yes, it is Empoli glass. The picture was in the section that had their Empoli glass.

That's fantastic :)
