A uranium basket with heat struck opalescence and ox-blood flashing. It's quite crudely made (not unknown for Kralik) and has a sharp pontil mark. Anyone else think it might be Kralik?
-
Wow,what a bowl, not seen anything like that on Craigs site or the site by Alfredo, impressive.

regret I can't add anything worthwhile as I know less than nothing about Bohemian/Czech from that period, but having looked through the Truitt's book (page 75 in particular), it would seem that Hosch might equally be a contender. What do you think?

I couldn't find the same one in Truitts 1880-1940 under Hosch. I presume you were looking at the pieces on page 75 and plate 3 on 74 which were from Kralik though?
There are similar and the intense red seems to have been used, but none have the actual petals as handles.

oops, my mistake m, didn't read the caption on page 74.............looked only at the the page heading for related pages, which says Hosch. No doubt that is also where Christine has been looking, and why she suggests Kralik. I'll go back to sleep. :-[
