Found on a flea market today.
It's heavy like the thicker heavier pieces of Jozefina, Stands about 10" high.
-
China probably. It looks very similar to the handbags and purses you see
-
I thought that may also be a possibility. Have I made a boob again? It has indications of both. But the pontil is very much saying Poland to me.
-
The handbags are marketted under the brand name of "Laguna".

I've seen them but not bought. Do they have a polished pontil?
-
I never got myself close enough to find out what the pontil mark looks like. ;D
However, I do keep a close eye on the way things are finished and the techniques coming out from the far east when I can, by peering at the stuff for sale in TKMaxx.
The finishes are improving drastically - properly polished bases and polished pontil marks.
-
I drop in TKMaxx occasionally. Some is good, some bad - just like always.
I just googled those handbags, £22 and £20 but no longer available. I guess in 20m years time they will be collectible. They were sold alongside Dartington, LSA, Holmegaard ... at Dotmaison. Didn't spot my Bust vase though...

The actual manufacturer is very illusive online.
