Title: Large Clear Glass Freeform Centrepiece

Hi,

I purchased this bowl along with quite a few others, some of which I have also posted on here over the last few days from a market in Toulouse. Again the lady I purchased it from insisted it was French glass and possibly made by Daum dating from about the 1960's-1970's. I am not so convinced with this date or origin so someones help with identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

It is a very large, heavy, good quality piece of glass and is very thick, I was attracted to buy it more than anything with the freeform shape. It measures approximately 7.5 inch high and is just over 23.5 inch in length and is 8.5 inch wide. It weighs 2625 grams. The base is completely smooth, the way the glass is formed makes it look like it is sectioned into about 6 separate areas up to the jagged edges.

I have attached some pictures and although they are not the best hopefully someone might have more idea than me what it is and where it might have originated from.

Not Daum but possibly Art Vannes or Sèvres - all three are made in the same factory anyway. Unsigned and unstamped may mean B-choice.

Reminds me of some of the huge pieces Mikasa is making these days. There is a 20" centerpiece in the outlet near me.

I think Ivo is spot on, it appears to have the same shape as an Art Vannes bowl

Thanks for your help everyone, after further researching I've got to say that Ivo seems to have been spot on as most Art Vannes freeform pieces I have checked have had the same 'sectional' style design and of a similar shape to this.
