Does it have a pattern on it or rather in the opalescence? flowers? or leaves and stems of some sort?

Thanks for looking m,It's in the body of the glass, leaves and what look like flower buds, the body is smooth not raised, there are glass tool marks where the rim and foot have been manipulated,it seems well made but after looking can't find anything similar,it's also difficult to photograph, although that might have something to do with the tipple I had earlier :o ::) ::) ;D ;D

ooh it's interesting - are the Walsh Brocade pieces bumpy on the outside, i.e. can you feel the pattern in them as a comparison?
Also can you take a pic of it against a white background with no special lighting? to see what the vase looks like? the foot looks like a sort of Bohemian foot (or French  :-\) is it hollow through the vase into the foot? or is the foot applied.  Can we see a pic of the base please?
 ;D

yes the foot is quite 'flat' isn't it?  a sort of curved shoulders then flattened off on the base rather than curving back in.  Pontil mark ground but not highly polished?  I'll get my book out later and see what I can find.  I like the design in the glass - wonder how they did that?

Theres something with a similar 'effect' here under Webb scroll down to page 92 - I'm not suggesting it is Webb btw but just a bit of interest in the effect

I know it's not a glass salt (although the rim reminds me of one) but just wondering if there is a similar pattern in one of the glass salt books. Just a long shot. I saw one book in Tynemouth Station once but the price was too high for me so i left it.
