Title: Ed Iglehart?
Post by: adam20 on May 02, 2012, 02:48:45 PM
Here is an object bought today - golden with opalescent streaks and strange hessian like textures and patterns - it is very much like the work of Ed Iglehart up in the north of Scotland. Anyone able to confirm?

Ed's in the south of Scotland not the north,  ;) but I'm not sure if this is his work or not.
The "mesh inclusion"-y bit doesn't look right.
Have you considered Tom Young - or even Lauscha?
It does look like lamp work - how is it finished off?

Its thin glass with a semi flat base there is a small aperture to top. Sorry, yes south Scotland - Palnackie. I have considered Tom Young but not Lauscha. I feel this is local to Scotland.

The only really good site for Iglehart is http://home2.btconnect.com/tipiglen/mushgob.html and even this doesn't show a broad range.

Email Ed and ask. He's really friendly.
