Hi,
I would really appreciate some help in identifying this Czech ashtray (or dish). My dad bought it for me at the market several weeks ago, and though I've searched through the CGR and the different catalogues on Jindrich's site, I can't figure out who's the maker.
It is 6cm tall. The two longest sides are 20cm long, the other is 17,5cm. The glass is about 2,5cm thick and weighs 1327g. The base is polished flat with a beveled edge.
Perhaps someone will recognise it and point me in the right direction.

Anik, not much help I'm afraid, but it does remind me of this Mstisov range by Vlastimil Svoboda (http://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/Glasrevue19633?authkey=Gv1sRgCOqr84bl7cfwZA#5441435472581589714), at least shape and colours are quite similar...

Thank you, Michael. When I first saw it, Mstisov did come to mind, but I could not find any proof... the items in the link are similar, but are they similar enough?
Funny, Jindrich offers so many wonderful resources on his website (http://www.cs-sklo.cz/) but my ashtray is nowhere to be found.

That's interesting I might have a 'relative' the dimensions are almost exact and the base is the same,I've another the same shape but without the amber at the ends ??? ;D ;D

Hmmm... Keith, I think your bowl has a rather Skrdlovice-ish look to it, but then again, I might be completely wrong. Is your other bowl exactly the same as the one you've posted, save the colour? Could you post a top view photo, please? Thank you!
