Hi all, I have this vase with the Reg no 792736 dating it to 1934. Jules Lang and son are named but have seen they are importers of glass. I have searched and it looks to me as if it came from Zawiercie glass Factory Poland. Could anyone confirm this or let me know who might have made it. It is 24cm in height and 14cm across the top. Thanks. Pete

I know less than nothing about Polish glass - and assume that your vase is a pressed piece in view of the Rd. No. for Jules Lang.
If you look at the blurb for Zawiercie in this link..... http://www.hsg.pl/en/index.php?id=10.. which came courtesy of Cathy B, they seem to be producing cut glass only, or maybe I've got it wrong. Unfortunately, I can't offer any other suggestions - what made you think it might have been this factory?
Is it possible that Anik can offer any possibly suggestions, as she is in Poland? :)

I think I got that wrong, believe they did produce pressed glass.

Hi Paul, I was looking through all the usual places and came across a piece (carafe) that had the same pattern and had the same pattern on the handle. It was more luck that found it as I was looking for something else. The Lang connection could take you anywhere as they bought glass from lots of companies (I read) including some British makers, the piece I read on that was a little vague but putting 2 and 2 together I got Zawiercie or 5 depending on wether I am right or not ;D ;D I have seen a few Trophy style vases but this was a little bit different. It also has 3 lugs inside, about 2 inches down, where I assume the frog should be. Thanks. Pete
