i think this will be hard to id....
I'm not even sure if it's biedermeier or art deco
any ideas?

gosh I like that. I wouldn't instinctively say it was Art Deco though. I would be inclined to older Bohemian. Was the rim cut and ground and then was gilded? or has it been polished and bevelled as well?
Is it crackled in two layers? the interior white layer and also the exterior cased clear layer?
Also can we see a photo of the base please?

Well it could be Bohemian and that's where I'd start looking first but sorry I can't help more - I've never seen anything like it. But I like it! The exterior crackle gives an effect of making it look like the white is also crackled - it's lovely. How big is it?

Sweet. I'm trying to imagine it with all it's gilding still intact. I've looked through my meagre book supply and I can't see anything similar so I'm sorry I can't help more.
