Title: Glass Oil Burner -- Flakes of Silver
Post by: antiquerose123 on May 16, 2012, 08:12:29 PM
Hi there:
Guess this is what you call an Oil burner.  Has a brass top fitting (no wick)  Round heavy ball with a oil holding area and the rest is hollow.  Does have silver flakes in it.  Thick glass.  Is it newer or older item?  Any ideas on the maker or are these a dime a dozen and made by anyone?  I have no idea but heavy and thick and bottom does seem to show some wear.

Any ideas on age, or maker -- If not just a brand name type ??  ??

Gosh I bought this like 2 months ago -- so behind on posts of items here.....and now summer!!

Thanks  ;)

Hi Rose.  I can't say for certain about yours but I've seen lots of similar oil burners listed on Ebay, and they seem to be newish and perhaps a dime a dozen too.
