Hi, I'm Crystal and am new on here so hello everyone!
Just wondering about glass which has France or Italy stamped on them. Could these be vintage or do these stamps indicate modern glass? I have a few pieces in my collection - heavy weighted tumblers and a decanter with shot glasses - and I would say they are from the sixties and forties (respectively), but, have since discovered the stamps on their bases.
Any help much appreciated.

Crystal you will do much better if you provide photos of the things you are seeking help with. Some basic "rules" of the board which will get you help easier are as follows:-
1. No more than one piece per topic.
2. Photos of the piece, its underside, and rim are very helpful plus if there are distinctive markings a photo of them will help.
3. Photos are limited to 124.99Kb each and up to 4 can be attached to each posting. There is also a normal limit of 999 in any dimension. Photos showing large areas of plain similar colour will have larger dimensions than photos with lots of different patterns and colours. Learn how to make them as large as possible.
4. Learn patience - some people are extremely expert in narrow areas and they may not look up the board every day. My personal record for helping someone is nearly 6 years after their original post. Also remember glass travels so a hint where you live may also be of some use.
By the way, welcome to the board, I hope you get to find it as useful as I have.

Hi crystal. Welcome aboard. It depends what you mean by stamped. Contemporary tableware from arc in france and from bormioli in italy has the country name in raised lettering, along with a mould number. These are mass produced and have little or no interest for c ollectors. If the country is etched or sandblasted, tn we are talking about a different kettle and seeing a photograph becomes required.
