Own these two thick glass vases and there's gold inside the glass . Not easy to photograph . By the looks off the bottom rings there older . According to family history there made by artist but nobody knows who any more .
So who is able to give me a name or factory or country made en when ? More pictures If you need them by mail .

Hi and welcome!
Often, your location on the planet can help - if you're in europe, it might be an idea to start with makers on this continent, if you're in the states or the antipodes, starting there might be better.
But glass does move around the world. ;D

Hello Sue . Thanks for the welcome . I.am located in the Netherlands and have been looking a lot off glass made here en Europa . But it could be from anywhere so that's the reason it's on the board now . The more people the more change to get the right person or company who made the vase (I hope ) .

They remind me a little bit of this chap's work - James Carcass.
I don't know anything about him - somebody showed me these auctions because they liked the look of it and wanted to know if I liked it too, just last week.

Apart from this, I'm afraid I don't know... but I'm interested to find out!

Looks indead like his style but mine are much older . So maybe copying the maker off mine ? I have lookt at his site and he's 18 years working now so ?
-
Perhaps, if he made them, it was a long time ago? or it may have been his teacher?
(styles often get passed from teacher to apprentice)
I'm sure some others will come along with other suggestions - or even a confirmed maker.
Sometimes ids happen immediately - sometimes they take years. :)
-
Maybe his teacher but I do have some more old glass and I think there more likely to be a bitty older by the looks off the rings and there scratches . My guess would be in age at least 50 years or older . But I could be wrong also off course . But because there's not so many glass designers that are using gold flakes there must be a link somewhere to a maker or factory ?

I owned one of those (sold it), had it on the board some while ago, but there was no maker identified: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,44263 (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,44263)

Thanks Michael and this is the same kind off vase . So maybe Murano origine ?
-
Many Murano makers used gold foil - but so do contemporary studio makers (such as James Carcass).
(Studio glass is more my area than Murano.)
There are several folk here who know Murano glass well.
I'm going to shut up and let them talk! :)
