Title: Piece of jewellery with canes
Post by: Anne E.B. on March 25, 2006, 01:46:55 PM
I thought this might be the best forum for info. on this scarf holder.  It appears to be similar to the techniques used in paperweights.  The detail is really hard to photograph as its so small.

However, there is a solid white centre - roughly 7 or 8 sided.  This is then surrounded with alternating bands of clear and white wavy lines which form 7 small petals.  Then this is surrounded by 7 larger solid petals which appear to be placed underneath the top section.  Hope this makes sense

Any info/help would be much appreciated.  Any ideas as to origins/maker please :P

Don't laugh........I've tried to do a closeup of one flower (using a jeweller's loupe     )

Many thanks :P

The canes do look Murano-ish to me.

i know this is an old post, but i have a similar broach. It must have been very intricate work on such a tiny broach.
