Clould this be an early Michael Harris Isle of Wight Glass Studio vase.
To me its got the Mdina look but with gold and silver so may date to the late 1970s.
Pontil mark and I think a ground base
Height 7.25" or 18.5cm
Weight 680gm
Thanks for any help

I don't think so Roy at least not a catalogued design, although the decor does look a bit like aurene crossed with azurene.... :-X
Something about it is ringing a Phoenician bell though, so perhaps Maltese.

Thanks John
You may well be right but the seller was trying to tell me that his friend new the person who made the vase and that it was in the 1970's in a English glass factory.
I have the sellers card and will see him again in a couple of weeks while he told me he would speak to his friend and try and find out more if possible.
I will wait and see .
Thanks again Roy

Sorry, Roy, I should have explained why!
This is a very distinctive set of colours - the cobalt blue inner layer with frothy, lighter patches which I think are produced using silver chloride, much like the frothy backgrounds in some Mdina, then the piece has been decorated with a clear strapping with splodges of a lime-green on it, before being cased in clear.
