Title: Huge white milk glass jug / pitcher - is this from the USA? ID = Fostoria ROSBY
Post by: bfg on May 31, 2012, 07:22:33 PM
Hello  :)

I'm out of my comfort zone (again) with this monster jug which was sold as American.

The body is 7.5 inches tall & 6 inches wide, then add on lip & handle and it weighs 3kg (6.6ish lb)

Does anyone recognise the pattern? is it merkin? if so, its got a little lost!

cheers, Mel

I would say Merkin - they like their salsaparilla from big jugs. Possibly Westmoreland?

My gut tells me it may well be Kemple as they were close to the most prolific MG producers in the U.S. using old EAPG molds.

thanks Ohio for the pointer.

started investigating Kemple and went off on a tangent, as I do!

Ended up at this conculsion: Fostoria ROSBY, 60oz pitcher

anyone care to confirm? - looks a pretty good match, phew
