Any thoughts please on this pink satin finish cake stand. On metal base it has a Chrysanthemum and Leaf pattern.
Thanks John

Believed to be Bagley, though not confirmed
-
Thank you Christine

It's worth mentioning that it's not shown in Angela's Bagley Glass book... Christine where did you see it suggested as Bagley please?
-
I might be confused about that on reflection

It is found in marigold Carnival Glass on a metal stand and usually ruffled. The pattern name is "Intaglio Mums" - believed to be English, but maker currently not known.
-
It's a very attractive design, and one I've never found examples of. Glen the carnival version sounds lovely, do you have any pics of that?
-
We don't have any photos of it, but I'll try and do some to show it to you.
-
Some "quick and dirty" photos - it's not an easy piece to photograph! Hope it illustrates the piece well enough.
-
Glen, that is lovely! Thank you for sharing the photos... :-* I feel I may need to search out one of these for my small cakestand collection (not that I collect deliberately cakestands, it was purely accidental, but when you realise you have getting on for 10 of them, then it has to be a collection, doesn't it?!) ;D

I suspected this might be Sowerby's because I see loads of them up here, and the colours match with other 1950s Sowerby designs. The chrome fittings used are also the same used on other designs of Sowerby's.
Then I managed to pick one up a few weeks back that had the Sowerbys Tynesyde Glass label still attached.
When I get time I will grab some photos and attach them to the thread. Just been a tad busy of late, but I was so excited to find an example with the label still on. ;D

Well done!
