Title: Identifying unmarked orange glass vase
Post by: Just Asking on June 10, 2012, 04:27:33 PM
Hi there

Hope someone can help?

I have this orange glass vase with flecks of colour measuring approx 130mm high by 100mm wide.

I think it is from the 1950's (because it was my Mothers) but there are no markings on it at all?

Can anyone help me identify it?

Many thanks.

Hi, welcome to the GMB!  Your vase looks to me like Czech "spatter glass", probably made around 1940's.  Pinning down a maker will be tricky as several made glass in this style.

Thanks for this Wayne.

Now it makes sense!

I think this vase was originally my grandmothers who original comes from Eastern Europe!

I think it's a pretty cheap one though and maybe not as nice as a Kralik or Welz!

Cheers for your assistance.
