Title: Heavy Oval Glass Jar With Lid
Post by: Otis Orlando on June 14, 2012, 11:33:40 PM
Hi,  Can anyone identify this Jar and lid.  Measurements: H16.6cm x 14.3cm x 10.6cm.  This Jar is very heavy and wondered what it may of been intended for. Weight 1.4kg.    I first thought it maybe Sklo Union as the base lid area is very similar when design shape is considered.  The base of the bowl area makes me think otherwise, that is, it may not be Sklo Union after all.  The base of the bowl is a flat polished base with definite signs of ware.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Otis, your pics are a little on the dark side to make out the pattern too well, but it could well be Czech. Can you do a clearer better lit shot of the pattern please?

Otis, it's in fact Libochovice # 2133 - as shown in their 1930-1939 photo catalogue
