Any ideas who made this bowl would be greatly appreciated. Lovely iridescence, folded rim with pulled prunt type decoration. Polished pontil mark on base. Curious splodges of white and orange colour seen on the interior. Looks green when held to the light.
I checked the excellent Loetz website but couldn't find anything similar there for Loetz or Others.
TIA ;)

Kind of looks like a studio piece? Don't you hate it when you know you've seen something somewhere but cant remember where.. :/

The very mirrory dark lustre is one I think is quite distinctive, but who, why, what or when has escaped the collander of my brain.
I remember seeing a rather lovely studio-style handkie vase in a local antiquey place, made a mental note of it as it wasn't too expensive, found out what it was and went back for it, but it had gone. As has my memory for what it was.
So all I can really add is that it is desirable and very likely something quite good. :-*

The strong lustre/iridescences reminds me a little of some Neo art glass by Heaton, although I'm not sure if the base treatment/finish fits with your piece......

Neo has a matt-er finish, I think, Greg, although the colours are right. :)

Thanks {{{folks}}} for your comments and help ;) :) Lots to now consider.
The base finish is different from the Neo ones I've seen so far which appear to be ground flat.
I had a niggling feeling that it might be contemporary, but I always first think of Leotz et al when I see this style.
Will get back if I manage to ID for certain.
