I bought a jug (with six matching glasses) a long time ago that has an engraved / etched wheatsheaf design and have been unable to find anything the same to ID the maker or age on the set, I am thinking English, but who and how old, that is the question.
It is 10 3/8" tall
4¼" top diameter
4" foot diameter
It has a ground out pontil
Thank you for any help in dating and ID'ing the maker

Hi, lovely jug.
I have no idea who made it, sorry.
just wanted to say that's barley not wheat - not being pedantic but if you change your keyword in a google search it may come up with something

which makes it a jug for beer. Motifs often match the contents

.............or barley water :-)

Thank you to both, I will change my search and see if I can find a match.
Might make all the difference knowing it is barley engraved on the jug and glasses and not wheat, thank you Mel.
