Heirloom Vase #2: Amethyst in color. It has Ribs on the inside about 1/4 in. They do not swirl but go straight up and down. The Stem is clear as is the Base. The Stem is swirled and is connected to the body of the vase by small round beads. It too, has no markings that I can see.

That one is most likely 20th C Italian (made in Empoli) or perhaps Czech

Comes from mid-20th Century Italy. Especially popular form made by many glass artists. This one was made by a pro. It has a spiral optic that is mesmersizing. Most of the oversized snifter vases had various optic decors, but a beautiful spiral twist like this is rarely seen.
Thinking on it a bit more concentrated, my Mother had other vases that were not kept in the cabinet, it was always just those 3 and I don't recall her ever using them. My brother and I knew that cabinet was off limits, I can recall 'Don't play around the cabinet, please! Even when we had our house cleaning chores to do, it was Mom that always dusted the cabinet. I just never really gave it much thought up until now. One other article that I inheirited that was in the cabinet, although not made of glass, is this Gold Gilted? Statue, if thats the correct wording? I recently saw a statue of great resemblance and the write up said it was from France, 1800's circa. Please see jpg. One is with the flash on and the other without. The lines are a slight green patina that has formed.
I can't remember just what else was in that cabinet. I think maybe my Brother maight have whatever else there was. I think I will read more on Itallian Glass. And Stew2u2, I see the raised G. I hadn't noticed it before. Thank you!
