I am really posting this here to make sure Robert sees it before a mod moves it to Bohemian glass. This is a find at the large show we go to every year in Portland Oregon. It is now my 4th piece of early Beranek in as many months. I have not seen this color and finish before, but when I picked it up both Peggy and I knew it was early Beranek. The dealer had no idea what it was and it was priced pretty cheap.... a little negotiating and it was almost a gift from him to me.....
It has a smoother interior than my other pieces and is slightly thinner glass. It also has much smaller bubbles formed in the Pulegoso layer which is cased in clear.
It stands approx 7 inches tall and has a nicely ground but not highly polished pontil. The glass itself exhibits all of the characteristic flaws you would expect to see from the conditions under which it was produced.
The shape can be found on the first page, bottom right, of these hand done line drawings:

A great addition to my collection early Beranek pieces.

Craig,
Good find. I haven't seen that piece around here, although I'm not sure I would have been able to pick it out. As I just came back from the Oregon Coast, I'm kicking myself for missing the Portland show.

Nice one! You seem to have some of the unusual Beranek over there... ;)

I think I wouldn't have recognized it as Beranek -- good eye there :)
