regret to say they are not..........so sorry for you.         Are they showing in focus on your screen before you post them?        Perhaps someone with good camera skills will look in and try to help you. :)

quote.................."Please bare with me"...........would love to but this is a family show, and we have to be mindful of the under sixteens (and the over 65's) ;D

second pic. of the base is nice and sharp - good quality, well done...............although side shot of swan appears out of focus still.      However, this should not prevent an id, provided someone recognizes the bird, so fingers crossed for you.        I suspect the lattice pattern is quite deliberate, although the pontil scar not so easy to make out.         Regret I've no idea as to origin  -  but with a uranium content might be Italian or eastern Europe perhaps :).

Don't think there's any uranium there

It does glow, truely, comes up like some other pieces i have that do have uranium in ???  ;D
My black light is very basic though, oneday i will have to do something about that.

In the end i have to listen to the powers to be,i am at the start of a very long glass journey.

cheers kat

Or could i be getting confused that under light the green comes up a lighter brighter green, sim to uranium ??? ::)
Where as IRL the green is darker  ???

Hi Kat,  I am no real expert on photography,  but placing your lovely swan on a plain white background will help us to see the detail better.
Two sheets of white card placed so that one is flat on the worksurface and the other propped up behind it so the join is minimal will make a good temporary back and foreground for your glass.
Place the swan close to the back so you get minimal shadowing and take the picture in good daylight  but not flash or direct sunlight.
This should help you get a nice clear picture of the shape of the swan and the angle of the head to the neck.
Give it a go.....and see then if you can add your picture here direct instead of via a link. Try the attach and browse facility, it is simple once you get used to it. I have posted an example below which migh help to show how the white background helps.
You can see how much better the paperweight would have looked on a white background.....I hope!

Hi Rosie,thank-you for going to the trouble you have  :-*
Yes i should have done that before re the lighter background.
I am not very savvy on the putta, getting photo's on here instead of links has proved to be very hard,i resize & they still wont load, its getting quite painfull.................

When i finally do it i'm going to have a party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
