Title: Paul Ysart for definate
Post by: Roger H on July 21, 2012, 08:32:28 PM
I know this is a PY weight but the coloured ground is baffling.  Has anybody else got a PY with this blue glass chipping ground to it?

Blue, of various shades, was a common enough colour for Paul Ysart's grounds and the mottled effect of chips of colour was used by Paul throughout his career.

Yep all of this is true, I just haven't seen the combination of this shade of blue and the glass chippings effect (not yet).  Not that my knowledge is very extensive really.  I know Alan T had one once, but this is it.
