I've seen Royal Brierley vases with similar 'spatter' bases but never in bowls and no bubbles so.. ???

Someone has just suggested Stevens & Williams on 20th Century Forum...

Also found a reference to them having introduced Tortoiseshell in 1930. Do you think the spatter design could be called tortoiseshell?

S&W's and R.Brierley do like their bubbles so it's a possibility ;D
