Title: E&R Paperweight
Post by: horochar on April 01, 2006, 06:31:42 PM
The other day I saw a swirled opaque glass paperweight, various shades of browns, greens and tans with a black and silver foil shield shaped label with a crown and letters "E&R" and "Italy."  I'm assuming circa 1950s and Murano.  Through internet research, I determined that this is an importer's label for Ebeling & Reuss, which also operated under the trade name "Erphila."  I know it's difficult without a picture, but does anyone know whose products they imported and who the likely manufacturer might be?

Thanks,
Charles.

I know this question is an oldie.

I bought a paperweight today with the E&R label. Judging from the shape and general look, I believe it is Ferro and Lazzarini.

E & R stands for Ebeling & Reuss, a US importer of quality glass from many different countries.  Here is a link to my query about my vase with an E & R label - http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,33984.0.html
and many thanks to Anita (TxSilver) for the great information she provided.
The link she supplied for looking up Ebeling & Reuss labels is

I know its an old post, and you might never get to see this!
Can but try.
