Title: Greek Key Bowl
Post by: dinklepip on August 21, 2012, 06:43:52 PM
I often see pieces in this pattern and for whatever reason I cannot remember who made it.  I have Sowerby/Davidson/Greener and Molineaux rattling around my head lol.  Must admit I have never come across a bowl such as this, diam. 9.5"

I know it sounds silly to ask, but assume you have scoured the length and breadth of this bowl for a mark - they can be overlooked more easily than you'd think.       Had a look through the pressed glass books, but don't see this design/pattern - unfortunately, greek keys, daisy wheels and hobnails were a staple diet on much older pressed glass, so they appear very commonly from most of the factories. :)

They were made by von streit, by leerdam and by many companies in scandinavia. Perhaps not the easiest thing to id this daisy-and-greek-key dish.
