Title: Clichy or Pantin?
Post by: Simone on April 02, 2006, 06:35:07 PM
This is in the Sotheby's catalogue and they said it's antique French, but thought it was maybe Clichy, although I think that possibly it's Pantin. Does anyone else have an idea who the maker could be?

This facetted Baccarat butterfly on a clematis is estimated at £1000 - £1500

and yet the next one is estimated at £1500 - £2000

I'm not sure about the flower weight - unusual design - needs looking up.

The first Baccarat butterfly is wobbly and off-centre. Hence the lower estimate.
