Title: vase with "prongs"
Post by: ju1i3 on August 27, 2012, 07:41:31 AM
I call this my vase with "prongs". Is there a proper name for this design? I use it as a hyacinth vase but I guess it wasn't made for that. Was it made for anything more specific than a vase/posy? It appears to have a space to thread through something to hang it up with although I've never seen one hung up. Were they made to be hung up? It's about 12 cm tall and has a rough pontil mark on the base. Thanks.

Just a decorative 'posy' bowl I believe with a '6 way' pincered rim, couldn't say where from but very pretty, ;D ;D

Thanks Keith. I wasn't familiar with the term pincered rim. I will read up on that.
