hello and welcome to the board :)
if you are having problems with pics then you might click 'report to moderator' on the bottom of your post and I'm sure when they have time they will be able to upload pics for you :)
In the meantime I don't know anything about marbles but have a couple of old ones that I did try to research and this site is very nice just to get you started on looking (if you haven't already seen it)
- I hope the link takes you to the antique marble bit of the site

Silly question ,but how does one hand blow a marble?
Roy
-
HI ,
You take a gather of clear glass from the pot , this is marvered (rolled on a marble table or slab) to a sausage shape then whatever canes you require are laid out and the sausage rolled over them to pic them up , you then re dip the sausage in the pot to gather another layer of glass around the canes then this is marvered again to a sausage shape, gently twisted to form the internal twist then with scissors you partialy chop each marble and shape it round then finally chop of each marble with the scissors ,each carrot or sausage can be chopped into several marbles depending on its length.
cheers ,
Peter.
